
Cao has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in English, Chinese, and German and has been a principal author or co-author for important reports at both the national and international levels of governance. Her scientific interests focus on human resources (labor, migration, urbanization) and their interaction with agro-ecological changes and environment along with the economic and demographic transitions.ĭr. She completed her economics studies at Tianjin University, China, and her demography studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
